2015 – A Year Of Street Art Collaborations

We thought today in our series of reviews of the year we would take a look at the beauty of collaborations. This for us is one of the most impressive things with Street Art, something you don’t see in most other art forms and certainly not to such an extent. Some artists paint in pairs regularly or exclusively and many of the collaborations here are by two artists just working together for the one piece, with such a dynamic offering ample opportunity for works to take on a life of their own or in some cases really add a new dimension to one artists major style. With this in mind what you tend to see are two different types of collaboration, the ones were both artists have complimentary styles and the works fuse together as one harmonious piece, and those which are comprised of completely differing styles and yet still hold it together, when pulled of this is often the more impressive type to see. So without further ado, here is our look back at the wonderful year of Street Art collaborations from 2015.

  1. Do you know I have been photographing street art for a while now and only over the past couple of years began to get to know and recognise the artists. Your blogs are so informative that I have been able to look back at my photos and begin to know the artists, so loving this. As to favourites, went to get a bit of paper to write them down but that was silly…like so many of them. What I love about this is each time I go out with my camera it has all changed sad to miss the Ador and Semor but then that’s why I follow your blog. Happy New Year…looking forward to seeing what you find.

    • Hello A Quick Smile, thanks so much for the kind words and really emphasizing one of the main reasons we started running this blog and sharing the great art we witness. We are very glad you can put names to some of your old pieces. No worries about the list, curious though, what is your favourite 1?
