Up on the roof of the Jealous Gallery in Shoreditch is the newest piece from Ben Slow and Carl Cashman on their feature wall entitled the Jealous Rooftop Mural Project. I believe this is the third piece up there now, the previous being by Dan Kitchener and can also be seen here further down. In the current piece the portrait aspect is by Ben Slow in his typical black and white fashion and the delightful background is by Carl Cashman. It makes for an interesting combination of portraiture and geometry. The Jealous Gallery intend to keep pieces for a month or so and are no doubt set to build a collection of nice feature pieces which are also nice and safe from vandalism. The Jealous is a Contemporary screenprint studio, gallery and publisher based on Curtain Road in the heart of Shoreditch and has certainly attracted some great talent already with work from Ben Eine also to be seen on the side of the gallery.
