Over the previous several days from the 15-18th October the Moniker Art Fair returned to East London for its sixth consecutive year, in the most appropriate location to host such a large expose of Street Art in a gallery setting, namely The Old Truman Brewery at the heart of Brick Lane. The event was held in conjunction with The Other Art Fair, however it is the Moniker Art Fair element we were principally interested in and shall be focusing on here. The event received some 14,000 visitors as it ran as a major satellite event to London’s Art Week, which saw some 60,000 visitors descend upon London, primarily focused on the Frieze Art Fair in Regents Park.
There were some twenty-three booths comprising the event, showcasing a broad range of art across the board, with each booth having rather limited space but certainly doing their best to display multiple pieces in a not overcrowded manner. Our particular favourite setups came from the 44309 Street/Art Gallery, visiting from Dortmund, and the MYA Gallery who decided to showcase works from a single artist, namely Bom.K, however that isn’t to say there wasn’t also fantastic art across the board from the other stalls, as you shall see from our pics below. As for individual pieces there were so many it is hard to choose our absolute favourite, however works from Telmo Miel, Alice Pasquini, Bom.K, Clet Abraham, My Dog Sighs, Dan Kitchener, Herakut, Andrea Tyrimos and Sit were very much the highlights of the event. So until the next time enjoy some of the works from the Moniker Art Fair 2015.

Enjoyable and wide ranging selection of work here. Wish I’d known about this and went along now. Never mind, hopefully it will be on next year.
Thanks Tanya, it was a good show, manic though, so busy. It will be back next year no doubt, so one for your calendar next year when London Art Week returns.
