Next up in our series of reviews of the last year we are heading over to North London and taking a look back at the year of Street Art in Camden Town. Camden Town has long been a hub of high quality Street Art, a place with a sense of creative energy and certainly one of our absolute favourite locations to visit for Street Art. When we wrote our review of Camden Town last year we spoke of how the areas future seemed uncertain regarding Street Art in relation to upcoming redevelopments about town. Camden Lock Market a beautiful gallery of paintings was closed, as were the streets around the back of the market which had been transformed in to what was at the time marked the best concentration of high-quality Street Art. So a couple of months into the year the best part of 70% of Camden’s Street Art walls were lost, however largely through the hard work of The Real Art of Street Art who have been responsible for facilitating the vast majority of Street Art works in the area, Camden has continued to flourish with colour and beauty, just on new walls. It has been a superb year in Camden Town and there has been a proliferation of fantastic works on the ever changing walls about the area. So without further ado, here is our look back at the wonderful year of Street Art in Camden Town from 2016.
