Following from placing up his first work of 2016 a couple of weeks ago (covered here), on Friday Street Artist Trust Icon hit Camden Town for his latest delightful work ‘Barbies New Coat’. In his work Trust Icon sets to capture a moment or a snapshot from his, and many peoples childhood, combined with his own style of poignant insight or humour injected into each design, making his style his very own and his works what they are. this is exactly what he has done with his latest piece. The ever tongue-in-cheek Trust Icon has created a rather brutally humourous scene in which the callous little girl has butchered her teddy bear to provide a fashionable fur coat for her Barbie doll, dressing her as the teddy bear lies impaled on the floor next to her. Yet again another clever and charming work from Trust Icon as well as being an absolute pleasure to see. This work was put up with support from The Real Art of Street Art.
Dark but brilliantly constructed (or more to it…. deconstructed) Bears all the hallmark of a clever artist with much merit indeed… The artist really cuts it!
Very nice. I do like great stencil work, but more the back stories that they portray.
Love the stenciling which is skillfully done. The subject is delicately rendered. love it !!!
