This evening in our series of reviews of the last year we are heading back over to East London and taking a look back at the year of Street Art in Bethnal Green. It’s been an interesting year in Bethnal Green, with a steady flow of artworks being placed up throughout the year by London’s own local talent and a range of talented international artists. Key spots to visit throughout the year have been Paradise Row and Clare Street, with other pockets along Cambridge Heath Road also receiving a steady flow of art through most of 2016. The vast majority of works in the area have been facilitated by the diligent work of Daniel Wood at The Hidden Streets Of London who is now residing in Los Angeles, which coupled with the fact that such areas as Paradise Row and other spots around the rail arches are set for or undergoing redevelopment means that more of London’s painting spots are being lost we don’t expect to report on the area with a full year review again, even now it is more of a nine month look back at 2016 that is presented below. So this post is dedicated to a once great area for Street Art, but one that we don’t think will ever see such a number of quality artworks produced again upon its streets. So without further ado here is our look back at a year of Street Art in Bethnal Green.
Work by Zabou in Bethnal Green, a fitting view of the turn into 2016 in the area considering how the area seems set to mostly fade away as a Street Art location.
