This morning in our series of reviews of the last year we are heading back over to East London and taking a look back at the year of Street Art and Graffiti in Hackney Wick & Fish Island. Hackney Wick is always an interesting place to visit, with the sections of painted walls along the canal receiving a consistent and regular turnover of fresh works through the year and a whole host of wonderful and sometimes weird sights to be seen. Though sadly it appears that these could be the death throws of the area as a thriving hub of Street Art and Graffiti with much of the area being redeveloped seeing painting spots to disappear, a most sad situation as the area will lose its historic and more modern artistic character as another piece of the old East End fades away. So who knows how much we will get to share with you from this area in the future, its far from over yet, but it seems the end is nigh for this fantastic little corner of London. So without further ado, here is our look back at the wonderful year of Street Art in Hackney Wick from 2016.
