2015 – A Year Of Street Art In Bethnal Green

This evening in our series of reviews of the last year we are heading back over to East London and taking a look back at the year of Street Art in Bethnal Green. It’s been an interesting year in Bethnal Green, with a steady flow of artworks being placed up throughout the year by London’s own local talent and a range of talented international artists. Key spots to visit throughout the year have been Paradise Row and Clare Street, with other pockets along Cambridge Heath Road also receiving a steady flow of art through 2015. The vast majority of works in the area have been facilitated by the diligent work of Daniel Wood at The Hidden Streets Of London, who over the last couple of years now has set to brighten up the area with an array of beautiful artworks.

Highlights of the year in Bethnal Green for us here at London Calling Blog, have been the results of a delightful Paint Jam in Paradise Row on a glorious summers day, which saw many artists paint great pieces amid an atmosphere of fun and general merriment, from this event highlights were by Ali Hamish/Bill Daggs, Kyle Holbrook and 23rd Key. Additionally our favourite works of 2015 were the first work by Zina, Irony’s cat and pigeon collaboration with Boe, the work from Starfightera, Fanakapan’s ‘Pop’, the Toasters and My Dog Sighs collaboration, the L7M and Jimmy C collaboration and certainly Trust Icon’s many delightful contributions to the area. So without further ado, here is our look back at the wonderful year of Street Art in Bethnal Green from 2015.

Certainly one of the most interesting Street Art events of the year and one that kept us very busy hunting the freshest addition daily over the 2 weeks, but ultimately satisfying. You can view our post on Trust Icon’s ‘Genuine Article’ exhibition (covered here).
