New Ruben Carrasco Street Art in Forest Hill

Here we are taking a look at a beautiful work we had the privilege of helping organise on a new spot in Forest Hill that the owners kindly donated for some artwork, which allowed visiting Mexican born, but Canadian based, international artist Ruben Carrasco the opportunity to leave a stunning addition to his first visit to London.

The work in question features a pair of Blue Tits set fighting whilst in flight and was painted using 2 brushes and a mere 6oz’s of acrylic paint to excellent effect on this lovely raw brick canvas that was available. The work is linked to a canvas piece from the artist called ‘Bird Cage’ and is part of his Neoshamans Series. We have to say the effect generated in this design is so delicate and subtle presenting a striking contrast to the turbulent subject matter that makes for an all round striking composite.

We would like to offer a huge thank you to Ruben for coming to paint this spot for us, along with a big thank you to our dear friends M Frenchi for helping put us in touch and Street Art Atlas for all the help while the wall was being painted. Lastly we would like to offer a big thank you to the owners of the space at the All In One Pub for donating a space and their hospitality while it was being done. This stunning artwork can be found in Hindley Place, Forest Hill, at the back of the All In One Pub and was put up with support from ourselves London Calling Blog.
