Despite the cold weather London has played host to a number of Paint Jams about the city, with the third weekend of the new year playing host to simultaneous paint jam’s around South London in Forest Hill, Stockwell and Leake Street. It is the latter mentioned of which we are looking at first with WOM Collective Paint Jam, put on by an all female group of Street Artists who formed the collective last summer and presented their second get together with a fantastic display of artworks “dedicated to empowering Her-Story.”
In all around 20 female artists took to Leake Street for the day and certainly left their mark in the most frequently painted location on London’s scene. In a few weeks you will be able to attend the WOM-INSPIRED Art Festival which will run from 6th-13th March and feature a series of work shops as well as a group exhibition at 42 Denmark Hill.
