New Maikel Walkman Street Art in Penge

A couple of months back saw Spanish born, but London based, Street Artist Maikel Walkman make a visit to Penge to place up his third work in the area with this fantastic addition to SE20 for our SprayExhibition20 Community Mural Project. Taking to the former Golden Lion pub along Maple Road which is currently undergoing redevelopments to paint one of his mannequin creations that the artist has been working with over the last year or so. For this occasion Maikel Walkman set to give his mannequin characters a classical twist taking up back to Ancient Greece with his take on the famous antiquities the Venus De Milo and the Discobolus of Myron set side by side. It is interesting to see how the artist has developed these characters in the last year, setting to ever fill his inanimate subjects with so much life, movement and character.
