Last Wednesday night we here at London Calling Blog were delighted enough to attend our third Drips & Runs live Paint Jam event, always an absolute sight to behold and on this occasion hosted in Relentless in Soho. The event saw Si Mitchell, Captain Kris, Himbad, Saki&Bitches, Skeleton Cardboard & The Real Dill set to paint a banner with a free for all working their own individual styles and setting the works to tie in as a cohesive whole, providing the basis for the creation of an organic and spontaneous collaborative mural and all accompanied by the DJ stylings of Seeds One who set the tone for the event.
Working primarily with paint pens to a colour palette of black, white and a little purple the artists set to create a fantastic immersive scene which leaves you really lost for finding a place to focus your gaze. As always with seeing a Drips & Runs paint session the highlight was seeing the casual manner in which the artists created this joint peace so harmoniously, there were no egos throughout the process, just a group of artists having fun and feeding off of and among each others creativity. Until the next time we have some Drips & Runs to share with you enjoy the pictures of the evening and the excellent result shown below.
