Ahead of Alo’s upcoming solo show at the Saatchi Gallery which opens next week, we thought we would share a series of eleven fantastic pieces Alo placed up around East London last year. and all of which we have not previously posted about before. The artist’s work feature his own brand of urban expressionist abstract portraiture based on subjects including real people Alo observes on the streets, people from the media as well as mythical creatures, setting to examine their role in society, Creating his public artworks using a combination of brushes, acrylic and mixed media, mixing painting with a mixed media technique. Alo’s solo show Liminal runs at the Saatchi Gallery from November 3rd to December 5th.
