Here we are playing catch up with a fantastic work placed up by Street Artist Airborne Mark a few months back in the summer around Anerley, adding another addition to SE20 for our SprayExhibition20 Community Street Art Project. Taking to a new corner of Anerley, in a quiet residential area allowing Airborne Mark the chance to work his case studies in light and shadow through his favoured paper platforms. This work shared below features a captivating scene that plays with the space superbly, depicting a cat dangling from the roof’s bar trying to catch any of a series of fireflies set free from the bottle above. It’s always a pleasure to see fresh work from this artist and in this instance it was interesting to see the other materials – in this case a glass jar and metallic lid to accompany his hand-crafted origami creations.
We of course wish to say a massive thank you to each of the space owners, who kindly donated a spot and trusted us to work it. As well as a really big thank you to Airborne Mark for coming back to the area to further support this initiative and for leaving such a captivating and beautiful artwork in the process. The great work can be found in Haysleigh Gardens, Anerley, and was put up with support from ourselves London Calling Blog.
