Sunday saw the latest Paint Jam to hit Leake Street with the Do1Cancer event which saw a host of Graffiti Writers and Street Artists hit the legal walls in this tunnel to raise awareness and money for Cancer Research. Following from 2015’s Battle Cancer Paint Jam which was organized via social media by Charlie Pugh in response to discovering his girlfriend had breast cancer, as well as the Do1Cancer 2016 Paint Jam (covered here). This years event also organized by Charlie Pugh set to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support the event this year saw some 70 artists come together to paint across two locations – Leake Street & The Stockwell Hall of Fame – for a most worthy cause and raise some awareness and funds for much needed research and care. The event raised over £1500 on the day for Macmillan, which is great to see after such an impressive and erstwhile event was put on. Sadly nothing lasts forever, especially on London’s legal walls, so for those of you who didn’t get to make it along enjoy the impressive array of works below and you can still donate money to the campaign via www.justgiving.com/do1cancer2017
