For our next post we are taking a look at a recent addition to Anerley Hill by street artist David Puck placed up for our SprayExhibition20 community street art project around Penge and Anerley. This beautiful pair of artworks makes for the first time we have got to see this artists work in person and the first time they have painted a spot around SE20 for ourselves. David Puck paints subjects which allow them to explore concepts of human experience and mental health, focusing on areas including identity, narrative, psychology, sociology and philosophy. We have to say David Puck left us with a pair of absolutely beautiful portraits imbued with a real strong classical sensibility. These works fuse a range of techniques, including free hand and stencil spray paint, as well as brush work and even one mop head.
We would like to offer a big thank you to the space owner for allowing us to find an artist to again transform their property. As well as a massive thank you to David Puck for coming by to support this initiative and for leaving such a fantastic pair of artworks for us to enjoy in the process. These stunning works can be found on Anerley Hill and was put up with support from ourselves London Calling Blog.
