Next up we are taking a look at a superb series of work dropped Penge and Anerley through 2021 by street artist Fat Cap Sprays for our SprayExhibition20 Community Street Art Project. It’s always a pleasure to have a new artist paint a spot for us around SE20 and leave some fresh creations for ourselves and the local community to admire around our hometown. Fat Cap Sprays has left eight additions about SE20 on a range of spots big and small – we are delighted to have been able to host the artists largest wall to date, and what a piece it is. As well as leaving an amazing range of iconic subjects, many of which really hit the nostalgia button for ourselves, we have been spoiled with the character selection for sure. All depicted in the artist’s own distinct take on neon style illustration that bring these characters to life and really pop from the surface they adorn.
We of course wish to say a big thank you to each of the respective generous space owners, who kindly donated a spot and trusted us to work it. As well as a massive thank you to Fat Cap Sprays for visiting SE20 to support this initiative and for leaving such a brilliant series of artworks in the process. Each of the works below are located in Penge and Anerley and were put up with support from ourselves London Calling Blog.
