New Jim Vision Street Art ‘Our Lady of Forest Hill’ in Forest Hill

Next up in our long run of catching up with what we have been up to in our corner of South-East London over the recent few months we are taking a look at a superb work from street artist Jim Vision placed up last month in Forest Hill.

Taking to a lovely rooftop side wall on the All in One Pub in Forest Hill, Jim Vision has painted a striking scene with a fantastic perspective through the wall, which drew inspiration from the time of year and the location, resulting in Our Lady of Forest Hill. The scene depicts a powerful and serene Mother Nature set in the forest surrounded by the trees in Autumn and accompanied by a number of the animals that inhabit the forest and despite the fresh cold weather Mother Nature has spring welling up inside her, the essence of life building up at her very core, waiting to be shared. Additionally this wall has such a great approach it was so much fun photographing this work from the varying points of view offered towards it. Also be sure to keep your eyes peeled if you pass through Forest Hill on the train or Overground lines as you will see this striking work.

We of course wish to say a massive thank you to the lovely owners of the All in One pub who kindly donated a spot and trusted us to work it – along with looking after everyone so well. As well as a really big thank you to Jim Vision – and Matilda – for coming down to support this initiative and for leaving such a beautiful artwork in the process. This superb work can be found along Perry Vale at the back of Forest Hill Station and was put up with support from ourselves London Calling Blog.
