New Fanakapan Street Art ‘Drunken Glass Elephants’ In Brick Lane

Friday and Saturday saw prolific Street Artist Fanakapan hit Pedley Street along Brick Lane to paint the wall of the Kinkao restaurant with his latest and superb piece  ‘Drunken Glass Elephants’. This is now the second work from Fanakapan in London with the glass animal as his subject with the last piece being a glass dog held in a hand painted in Penge (covered here), for this work Fanakapan painted a pair of inebriated glass elephants wandering around a table amid the surrounding orbs and bottles, a piece inspired by animals that get intoxicated in the wild. Fanakapan has for this piece has again almost deconstructed the full on meticulous intensity of his reflective chrome based works and gone for a more minimalist style to equal effect. The piece generates so much depth and is certainly captivating. all the more interesting for the flowing green hues that accompany Fanakapan’s colour palette for this work.
