Well for us it’s been a particularly great week or so for Street Art in London with last Tuesday seeing Penge receive the 16th piece of Street Art to hit the SE20 area as part of our ongoing SprayExhibition20 community project, with this incredible piece by Fanakapan entitled ‘Fragile Dog Syndrome’. The excellent work is inspired by Fanakapan’s dismay at the rise of the dog in a handbag trend, that descendants of wolves are reduced to just this, a fragile object in our hands. Fanakapan has for this piece almost deconstructed the full on meticulous intensity of his reflective chrome based works and gone for a more minimalist style to equal effect. The piece generates so much depth and is certainly captivating. Also of particular delight for adding something with a sense of subtle surrealism to the Street Art popping up in Penge.
We would like to say thanks to the kind team at Penge DIY in Croydon Road for their support to our project, allowing us to get Fanakapan to add something so beautiful to their property. We also would like to offer a big thanks to Fanakapan for coming down to add this delightful work which really brightens up this road. This stunning work can be found in Evelina Road, Penge.
