Over the previous several days from the 06-09th October the Moniker Art Fair returned to East London for its seventh consecutive year, in the most appropriate location to host such a large expose of Street Art in a gallery setting, namely The Old Truman Brewery at the heart of Brick Lane. The event was yet again held in conjunction with The Other Art Fair, however it is the Moniker Art Fair element we were principally interested in and shall be focusing on here. The event received some 14,000 visitors as it ran as a major satellite event to London’s Art Week, which saw some 60,000 visitors descend upon London, primarily focused on the Frieze Art Fair in Regents Park.
There were some twenty comprising the event, showcasing a broad range of art across the board from all over the world, with each booth having rather limited space but certainly doing their best to display multiple pieces in a not overcrowded manner. As for individual pieces there were so many it is hard to choose our absolute favourite, however works from Max Zorn, Bailon, Jeff Gill and Lucy Sparrow were very much the highlights of the event. So until the next time enjoy some of the works from the Moniker Art Fair 2016.
