This morning in our series of reviews of the last year we are heading back over to East London and taking a look back at the year of Street Art in Hackney Wick & Fish Island. Hackney Wick is always an interesting place to visit, with the sections of painted walls along the canal receiving a consistent and regular turnover of fresh works through the year and a whole host of wonderful and sometimes weird sights to be seen. What is most notable however are the series of works that have gone up in the streets to the right of Hackney Wick Overground station, with some impressive and large-scale works having gone up by local and international artists alike. So without further ado, here is our look back at the wonderful year of Street Art in Hackney Wick from 2015.

What an amazing year. I lived in Hackney Wick in the 80s – nothing ever like this then.
It certainly has been Southampton Lady, i’m sure it made for interesting viewing to see how the area is 30 years on. Glad you liked.
