Next up we are taking a look at a series of works by Efomural duo Reves and Sidok that have been placed up in Penge during 2022. We are principally sharing an incredible collaboration the pair hit up during the peak of the heat wave this summer, and despite the extreme conditions they still managed to hit up one of the most outstanding artworks to have been painted in London this year. Presenting a proud and dominating scene that towers in scale and imagery above all around it, the work features a take on the classic brave knight who slayed the dragon, as immortalized in the UK as the tale of St George. However this work and the classic imagery was influenced by global events, namely the ongoing war in the Ukraine following the invasion by Russia. In addition to this large-scale collaboration, each artist have painted works medium and small scale, which amply demonstrate the sheer diversity in their respective individual artistic ranges. The works below have all been placed up at the Penge Rooftop Gallery, Penge, with support from ourselves London Calling Blog for SprayExhibition20.
