Here we are playing catch up with a series of works placed up around East and South London during 2022 by street artist Vinnie Nylon – nine of which we have had the absolute pleasure of facilitating around Penge and Anerley for our SprayExhibition20 community street art project.
Presenting a series of works inspired by the Figuration Libre movement from the 1980’s, Vinnie Nylon takes that style and channels it in to painting ethnographic subjects, with a focus on people, animals and pots. It was a pleasure to have this artist come and paint about SE20 several times this year and add some more diversity to the towns expanding art gallery in the form of his interesting compositions. As always we would like to offer a big thank you to Vinnie Nylon for coming to paint and support the community project we enjoy spending so much time on around SE20. As well as a big thank you to the residents and businesses who donated spaces to our community street art project.
