Next up we are finally playing catch-up with a series of four fantastic additions to South-East London from the last few months placed up by El Salvodoran Street Artist Abraham.0 for our SprayExhibition20 Community Street Art Project around Penge and Anerley – and over the border into Sydenham.
Abraham.O is one of the absolute best artists we have seen paint in London for some time, bringing his own brand of grey-scale realism focused portraits exemplifying the artists’ Latin American heritage and roots. In his striking work Abraham.O shines a light on the often overlooked people in society, with for example his work Weavers featuring a homeless woman the artist observed and photographed in his native El Salvador. Leaving an absolutely stunning set of soulful works in our local area, we for one hope Abraham.O stays in the UK and gets the chance to share his talent with us long into the future.
We of course wish to say a massive thank you to each of the generous space owners, who kindly donated a spot and trusted us to work it. As well as offering a really big thank you to Abraham.O for visiting the area to support this initiative and for leaving such a beautiful series of artworks in the process. The works below are located in Penge, Anerley and Sydenham and were put up with support from ourselves London Calling Blog. Big thank you to M_Frenchi for the connection.
