Next up we are taking a look at a pair of fantastic works by Spanish born, but London based artist Kaes, placed up over the last couple of months around Brick Lane and Shoreditch. Both works are part of a body of works the artist has been working over the last year or so in which he looks at how social media and the level we engage and seek validation from it impacts on our well being, mental health and view of ourselves and the world around us.
Work in Holywell Lane, Shoreditch, which depicts what happens when we scan a QR code and gain access to an entirely new, exlcusively online world.
Work in Hanbury Street, which looks at the increased risk social media can bring in developing/exacerbating depression, anxiety, lonliness, self-harm and even suicidal thoughts and its pervasive addictive nature.
