New Aspire Street Art Around Penge

For this post we are taking a look at a trio of fantastic works placed up around Penge and Anerley over the last few weeks from street artist Aspire. Each of the recent additions to SE20 by Aspire feature his trademark subject of birds, with the area treated to a Kestrel, Peregrine Falcon and a Grey Wagtail. Always a pleasure to have Aspire visit SE20 and leave something beautiful for the town to enjoy, from this recent spate of fresh additions to the area our favourite is the Peregrine Falcon painted in Bycroft Street in response to it being established that there is a breeding pair living in St John’s Church just one block over – if you look close you may notice the silhouette of the church’s spire in the design. We would like to offer a massive thank you to each of the respective space owners for allowing us to find an artist to transform their property. As well as a really big thank you to Aspire for yet again coming down to support this initiative and for leaving such a superb set of artworks in the process. These fantastic works were put up with support from ourselves London Calling Blog for SprayExhibition20.
