New Jimmy C Street Art ‘Unfolding’ in Penge

This morning we are playing catch up with a stunning work from Street Artist Jimmy C who over the summer took to Penge  for our SprayExhibition20 Community Mural Project to leave his first work in SE20, and one that formed the third and final installment of the Bird series the artist created around London over the summer. The work in question is entitled ‘Unfolding’ and features a striking psychedelic scene – something quite different from work we have seen previously from the artist – which works so harmoniously with conveying the sense of movement and direction the accompanying sequence of doves bring, set in various positions of the motions of flight. ‘unfolding’ from left to right. The natural subjects and all-round colour scheme very much compliment the natural leafy environment flanking either side of this wall, suiting the tone of this corner of town so perfectly.

We would of course like to say thank you to all the local residents and businesses for helping making this new aspect of the project come into being. A big thank you to the helpful team at Network Rail for all their support in helping us facilitate Jimmy C to add something so interesting and beautiful for the community to enjoy. Shout out to Kevin for all the help with this spot. We also of course would like to offer a big thank you to Jimmy C for coming down to Penge to leave some of his beautiful artwork. This work can be found in Penge Lane, Penge.
