Last month saw Canadian Mural Artist Kevin Ledo take to Brick Lane to help rework a spot that has deservedly become something of an institution in the area, namely the long standing tribute to the late local resident Charlie Burns. Located on the wall attached to his families’ business Ben Slow first painted a portrait of Charlie Burns in 2011, which was defaced and replaced by Ben Slow in 2013. A painting which sadly after 4 years has been damaged beyond repair so when Kevin Ledo was recently passing through London and wanted a space to paint Ben Slow had a location in mind, provided Kevin Ledo put his talents as principally a portrait artist to keep the tribute alive and present a new image paying homage to local history and the areas community. This work can be found in Bacon Street, Brick Lane, and was put up with support from Ben Slow.
