Last month saw London receive a visit from Italian Street Art duo Urban Solid who have left their largest installation artwork placed in the city to date. The duo started their project on the urban setting in 2010 with a predilection of utilizing derelict and unused walls to present their work within the context of urban decay, which ties in with the ideas conveyed in much of their work, that we are being watched, monitored and observed, taking a very Orwellian stance and setting to mock the condition of the modern human in the age of Big Brother. For this particular design entitled ‘Pac-WAR’ iconic and classic computer game character Pac-Man is set busy at work trying to end war, hopefully in record time. This work can be found in Matthew’s Yard Croydon.
