For the first time since starting the blog it’s been ages since we have seen a spate of fresh works from Street Artist Zabou, though in fairness this has nothing to do with inactivity on Zabou’s part its just she has had a fantastic year painting alla round the globe. So it is with much delight that we have been able to spy a trio of fantastic fresh additions placed up a few weeks back around the East End.
‘Wonderland’ in New Goulston Street, Whitechapel, a fantastic take on Lewis Carroll’s Alice In Wonderland in which the rabbit hole is the entrance to the bar this painting adorns. We have seen Zabou work this space several times now and this is our favourite use of this space by the artist to date.
‘At Night (Part 1)’ along Brick Lane, reworking some shutters that have hosted her art for some time now with an excellent design, which is very Zabou, with a hint of mischief permeating the subject, and accounts so masterfully for that fact that for the most part this work will be seen only of a night time in the dark.
‘At Night (Part 2)’ along Brick Lane, reworking some shutters that have hosted her art for some time now with an excellent design, which is very Zabou, with a hint of mischief permeating the subject, and accounts so masterfully for that fact that for the most part this work will be seen only of a night time in the dark.
