Another work from Upfest 2017 we wished to take a more focused look at is one we only just managed to catch completed before we headed home to London and one we are grateful to have seen in all its glory. The work we are referring to is the incredible collaboration from visiting Greek artist Insane51 and British artist Fanakapan placed up on West Street, certainly one of the standout works from an event crammed with a an exceptionally diverse range of styles and roster of artists from all around the globe.
Setting to work over a few very rainy days, the pair painting their first work together crafted a magnificent scene fusing each of their own styles of hyper-realism depicting a surreal out-of-focus image of Insane51 emerging through the building whilst sipping from a crumpled can of drink and wearing an inflatable Flamingo. There is so much to take in when you find yourself confronted with this work, so many points of focus that draw the eye to this piece just brimming with life.

Hi, I might have a whole day in Bristol next week to photograph street art, do you know of a map/guide that would enable me to make most of my time? I won’t have a car but am happy to walk/cab around.
