Having painted the iconic Village Underground wall last month, a few of weeks back Street Artist Sr. X returned to paint the add space on the front of the Village Underground, visible in Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch. Truly an artist with a style of his own who through his work sets to subvert the norms and traditional ideals with those all so humorous and at times dark twists that are very much exemplify Sr. X’s sense of sharp wit and fun, criticizing the over-abundance of pop culture and values it sets to install on society from above. In this case with fantastic use of the space with an advert simply exclaiming ‘Buy Shit!’ and accompanied by a women dipping into her flaming purse, so concise and so fun with it also.
