Last Monday saw French born, but London based, Street Artist Olivier Roubieu (formerly Mr Shiz) out bearing the cold and damp weather conditions to lay out an exceptionally striking portrait in Shoreditch. The lovely work, which for us here at London Calling Blog represents one of the best pieces we have thus far seen from him, features a portrait of a female subject, a prevalent theme in Olivier Roubieu’s paintings. The subject with captivating green eyes are dripping tears, adding a sombre dynamic to the piece, which are at odds with the wild, chaotic and colourful Graffiti compositions that make up the hair. These tags all say ‘London’ with the exception of one ‘Mr Shiz’ tag amidst the layers and layers of letters. This work can be found in Willow Street.
