On Thursday night the inaugural exhibition from new pop-up art space BSMT Space opened in Dalston with a group show entitled ‘Underhand’, comprising an impressive number and range of London’s Street Artists, along with a few international talents making an appearance also, curated by Speckles76.
Eagerly anticipating seeing how this new gallery would present itself and the works on offer, we weren’t to be left disappointed. The opening night was certainly a success, with an impressive turn out of both Street Art fans and the artists in question, contributing to an atmosphere free of pretensions with the attendees very much enjoying the occasion and wealth of diverse art on display. With many wonderful pieces to choose from, for us here at London Calling Blog highlights from the exhibition were from Fanakapan, Himbad, Zina, Ali Hamish, Pang, Skeleton Cardboard and each of the Lost Souls members. That said we could name several more quite easily also, all round certainly an impressive display.
The BSMT Space can be found at 5 Stoke Newington Road and the show runs until September 21st, so if you haven’t already head along to see the great show featuring works from over thirty artists, you won’t be disappointed. We also look forward to seeing how this fresh establishment progresses from here and will be keeping tabs on BSMT’s future ventures.
