Earlier today Canadian Street Artist Ryan Smeeton was passing through London, following a residency in Spain and before heading to Belgium. Seizing the chance to paint what is his first and for now only piece in London, Ryan set to laying out this delight in Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch. The piece was created with a combination of spray paint and house paint applied by a brush, making for the all-round painterly effect in this rather ambiguous piece, depicting the back profile of a male figure appearing to stare through the hoarding on which it is placed. This set of hoardings along Great Eastern Street quite often face a high turnover of works, and this is a great addition to the streets impressive art gallery.
