New Hunto Street Art in Brick Lane

A couple of weekends back we made our first visit up to East London to see some of the latest happenings in the street art and graffiti scene and was treated to several recent additions to the area, which we shall be looking at over the coming days. First up we are looking at a superb fresh addition to one of the side roads around Brick Lane, by Italian born, but London based street artist Renato Hunto. As always, he has done a fantastic job doing what he does best, namely painting his distinct and colourful signature style abstract characters. Originally a Graffiti Writer, Hunto has gone on to develop his own brand of fluid cubist creations infused with a bold block colouring, depicting for him the great universal subject – sex, intimacy and love. It is of the utmost pleasure to see how an artist’s styles and subjects evolve over time, and that certainly applies to Hunto, who is constantly honing his craft, most notably for us in his continued fine tuned colour palettes and through the addition of new shapes and increased layers. This fantastic work can be found in Corbet Place, Brick Lane.
