Even though we just featured a series of works from Abraham.O in our last blog post, we wanted to give this incredible work below a post of his own. Taking to the top floor of the Penge Rooftop Gallery Abraham.O painted a stunning portrait of our dear friend Street Art Atlas. Having worked with many people over the years, we have yet to work with anyone more trustworthy, driven and dedicated to supporting the artistic community than this person. Not only is she the best street art photographer in the country, we have yet to meet someone more dedicated to supporting the urban art scene than this woman. Something which extends way beyond taking first-rate photographs. We have been organising walls around Penge and elsewhere in London for 8 years now and from day one Street Art Atlas has been there documenting works from beginning to end, holding ladders, grabbing food and drink, driving paint, artists and ourselves around, making a book that we raised over £5k for the local Hospice with and so many more things to support making art happen. Our SprayExhibtion20 project in Penge would not be as big and thriving as it is without our team of Kevin and Street Art Atlas. Freezing cold, baking hot, silly early and late she is always there, taking “just one more shot”, which is always worth waiting for! Thank you to Street Art Atlas for everything they do supporting the whole scene and more specifically OUR scene in SE20. It has been our privilege to have her as part of everything that is London Calling Blog. We aren’t the only ones who recognise all the effort, time and immense dedication she puts into the scene, as exemplified by Abraham.O choosing her as his subject for painting this killer spot. We are also very grateful to Abraham.O for choosing to paint her portrait in Penge, we may be biased, but nowhere was more fitting for it.
