For this post we are playing catch-up with a series of twenty fantastic works placed up over the course of the last year from street artist Aspire. All of of these additions to South and East London through 2022 feature animals as the main subject, with the exception of two fantastic letter works dropped in Penge. The prevailing theme feature his trademark subject of birds, with a black cat and a tiger joining the mix. It is always a pleasure to see fresh work from this artist, let alone get to see it on our daily travels, Aspire’s striking soft realistic animals are always accompanied by such beautiful scenes or over the last couple of years or so increasingly his natural subjects are accompanied by items of humans consumption, some natural, some manufactured.
The works below in Penge and Stratford were placed up with support from ourselves London Calling Blog. We of course wish to say a big thank you to each of the respective generous space owners, who kindly donated a spot and trusted us to work it. As well as a massive thank you to Aspire for routinely supporting the community initiatives we involve ourselves with and for always leaving such a captivating series of artworks in the process.
