Next up we are taking a look an artist new this year to placing their art up on the streets of London, but one who has definitely taken to the street art scene in a large scale and left their mark in their local area. The artist in question is Elena Howard, an artist local to our corner of London, and one who works in the realm of miniature ceramics, creating these delightful and charming works we are sharing below. Working with a combination of polymer clay creations, crafted in a house hold oven and more conventional ceramics fired in a kiln, it really is impressive to see the array of fun and soulful subjects this artist has crafted and dropped this last year. We also look forward to seeing what this artist continues to bring to the scene in the future – all the more so as so much of it at current is in our corner of the city for us to enjoy.
So all we can say is that it’ snot just about all the larger scale murals, these tiny works that can be so easily missed will definitely brighten your day should you catch them. There is something about these miniature pieces that for us are really exciting, street art is ultimately for everyone, but that doesn’t mean everyone will notice it all, and when we discover one of these unexpected gems it always makes for a moment filled with gratitude in being able to enjoy something comparatively exclusive. So if you are around SE20 and the surrounding areas, you may want to keep your eyes peeled and you never know what delights will be discovered.
