Here we are playing catch up with a busy weekend around London from street artist Vinnie Nylon a month or so back which saw him hit up a series of six works around East and South London – five of which we have had the pleasure of seeing and can share with you below, and of those five we had the absolute pleasure of facilitating around Penge and Anerley, adding a trio of fantastic additions to SE20 for our SprayExhibition20 community street art project.
Presenting a series of works inspired by the Figuration Libre movement from the 1980’s Vinnie Nylon takes that style and channels it in to painting ethnographic subjects, with a focus on people, animals and pots. It was a pleasure to have this artist come and paint about Penge and add some more diversity to the towns expanding art gallery. As always we would like to offer a big thank you to Vinnie Nylon for coming to paint and support the community project we enjoy spending so much time on around SE20. As well as a big thank you to the residents and businesses who donated spaces to our community street art project.
