This morning we are playing catch up with the the second of a few visits to Penge and Anerley from stencil artist Dotmaster over the last several months for our SprayExhibition20 community street art project, in this case back in the late summer.
Taking to St Hugh’s Estate to paint two adjoining walls, making for the largest work we have organised for Dotmaster as well as the largest of 22 artworks now to be found in St Hugh’s Estate to date. For this long run of fresh wall in St Hugh’s Road Dotmaster crafted a superb mammoth scene of blue dot wall paper – which looks fantastic on the bare brick – with the scene kitted out with a trio of framed dot paintings along with a few house hold objects, all accompanied by an array of ten rude kids.
As always we would like to offer a big thank you to Dotmaster for returning to SE20 to paint and support the community project we enjoy spending so much time on. We also wish to say a massive thank you to the team at the St Hugh’s Community Centre and Clarion for their help in getting ourselves and the artists involved with this lovely initiative.
