New STRA Street Art around London

This evening we are taking a look back at some of the works we have caught from the last few months from visiting French born, but Portuguese based, stencil artist STRA. Over the last few months STRA has certainly left his mark around the city placing up  a ton of stencils all around North, South, East and West London, it is some of the works from around South and East London we have been fortunate to catch, or in a few cases even find spaces for also. Creating designs focusing on a range of subjects, the common theme in STRA’s output seems to be on the impact of social media and technology in the everyday person’s life – as well as a few takes on those at the forefront of these modern institutions and the power they wield – as well as socially conscious issues such as the environment.

‘Evolution’ in Kent House Road, Sydenham, put up with support from London Calling Blog. We have to say this larger work comprising 5 individual designs was not planned and STRA made excellent use of the space on this composition of social media / technology focused works which was entirely improvised and in the process creating quite the narrative.
