Sunday saw the latest Paint Jam to hit Leake Street with the Do1Cancer event which saw a host of Graffiti Writers and Street Artists hit the legal walls in this tunnel to raise awareness and money for Cancer Research. Following from 2015’s Battle Cancer Paint Jam which was organized via social media by Charlie Pugh in response to discovering his girlfriend had breast cancer, this year marked the 5th incarnation of this wonderful event and this years event was organized by Basik Graff and set to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. The event this year saw writers and artists come together to paint the entire Leake Street tunnel for a most worthy cause and raise some awareness as well as funds for much needed research and care. The event raised over £2000 on the day for Macmillan, which is great to hear after such an impressive and erstwhile event was put on. Massive well done to all involved, organizing and painting, for putting on such a great event for such a good cause. Sadly nothing lasts forever, especially on London’s legal walls, so for those of you who didn’t get to make it along to enjoy the impressive array of works below, you can still donate money to the campaign via www.justgiving.com/do1cancer2019
