This morning in our series of reviews of the last year we are going to take a look back at the year of Street Art and Graffiti in Croydon. It’s been an interesting year in Croydon with a trickle of artworks appearing through the winter and spring followed by a large festival at the end of the summer which saw vast parts of the town around East Croydon worked with paintings, paste-up works and installations. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Croydon’s Urban Art as much of the Arts Quarter has now been subsumed by the start of the redevelopments which will see a Westfield built and the whole of Croydon town centre transformed. In addition to oncoming loss of the Arts Quarter’s walls the huge set of legal walls which had been running since 2015 have now gone. So without further ado we present a year of Street Art in Croydon for 2017.
