Last night we had the pleasure of catching our first exhibition in some time and one that really didn’t disappoint, namely Itaewon’s debut solo show ‘Broken Perspective’ currently on at BSMT Space in Dalston. The show presents a view into his vivid fractured imagination through his abstract designs which utilise a delicaate balance of colour schemes infused with geometric line work creating a case study of light, movement and power within his compositions which explore a range of themes including architecture, landscapes and skylines. In this body of works Itaewon looks at the value of process and correspondence with each painting being in direct dialogue with the last, travelling into an increasingly abstract realm testing notions of persepctive.
The BSMT Space can be found at 5 Stoke Newington Road and Skeleton Cardboard’s ‘Broken Perspective’ show runs until Sunday 2nd December. So if you haven’t already, head along to see the great show for yourselves, you really won’t be disappointed.
