Over the last week London has been fortunate enough to receive a visit from Californian Street Artist Kai Aspire who in his wake has left a collection of absolutely fantastic installations to be enjoyed. We are not sure to the extent which Kai Aspire has been active, but we have found eight different designs (including a couple of duplicates) around the Shoreditch and Brick Lane Area and we know there are odd pieces along the Southbank and Kings Cross. If anyone finds anymore please let us know where.
Beginning painting on the streets of LA at fifteen Ka Aspire has since gone on to work in a variety of mediums including, free-hand painting, stencils, sewing and sculptures, which is what we are of interest here, with his thought-provoking and inspiring cement painting installations, which each take him three days to make. A recurring them in Kai Aspire’s works are the misplaced values within society, something which can be seen from his latest output around London, such as the work with his character trapped inside his smart phone. Truly a pleasure to see these works about town and to have discovered such a talented artist with so much to say, and said so eloquently.

A work seemingly inspired by the myriad of pressures an individual is subjected to in modern life.

Our favourite of the works we have seen so far from Kai Aspire, a truly powerful piece full of strength and aspirations.
