On Saturday in Chance Street, Shoreditch, we were fortunate enough to stumble across German Street Artist Radik as he utilized his one day visit to London by painting this impressive portrait before heading to Belgium. Radik generally creates realistic grey-scale portraits and then adds one additional colour to the eyes and hair for some contrast, on this occasion going with a striking blue tone. The work is very realistic and depicts a rather unusual attitude with the subject appearing mildly annoyed and dismayed at you watching her, as you go to take your photo you almost expect the piece to ask you bluntly ‘what are you doing?’. A very interesting work and we hope to see Radik back in London in the future.
