Yesterday at StreetFest there was a wide array of great art being made, but we thought we would kick off our next few posts of a more in-focus look at some of the artists building up their pieces throughout the day with The Lost Souls Crew collaboration, comprising, Si Mitchell, SPZero76, Squirl and Captain Kris. The last time we at London Calling caught up with all four of The Lost Souls Crew was back in the cold alleyway of Blackall Street, Shoreditch, so it was nice to catch them again, this time in the fine spring sunshine. They are certainly an easy going and sociable group of artists, stopping to talk with the many people passing by, admiring their work throughout the day and snapping pictures.
Whenever the Lost Souls Crew get together you know you are in for something fun, elaborate and large-scale, and at StreetFest they didn’t disappoint. Working to a blue and purple colour palette, the four artists laid out a set of cartoon style characters to create their latest mural, with Si Mitchell laying out a zombie style portrait, very much in his own style, SPZero76 putting up one of his more recent creations, the cheeky Raccoon, Squirl laying out his Fox based piece, tying in with the work the Lost Souls Crew had been working on the previous day, and finally Captain Kris’s Space Monkey Panda character. Great addition to a great day.
