New Banksy Street Art in Tottenham Court Road

Next up in our blog posts playing catch up with works and pieces we have had the pleasure of seeing through 2025, we are taking a look at what turned out to be the first of two artworks placed up by the ever illusive and mythical Street Artist Banksy ahead of Christmas. This design was placed up in two locations in London – a first for Banksy – with one work tucked away at the back of a residential street hidden away and the one below in London’s primary shopping area, hidden in plain sight. The work below was placed up in Tottenham Court Road in front of Centre Point – almost certainly chosen for the history of this building, which upon its initial completion remained vacant for may years and in time was dubbed by the nearby homeless charity Centrepoint as “an affront to the homeless” as it was left empty to make money for the property developer. Additionally the placement highlighted how homeless people can be in such a busy and high-profile area and be completely ignored by everyone passing by and going about their lives.
